 These 3D pens in general are tricky to get the hang of it took me a few days of trying to get a good 3d picture going. The pen is big but not to big to hold nicely . When i was drawing it is fun and kind of easy. there is a few buttons on the one side for you to put in the plastic there is a up and down . then on the other side there is a button for speed of the plastic when it comes out . It seemed to work better for me about in the middle once i got the hang of it . be careful not to tough the end of the pen as it gets very hot . On the front side of the pen there is 2 lights top light tells you that it is on then bottom light is red then turns green when it is ready. I think this 3d pen is very fun and can be used i would say any age as long as the younger kids are around a grownup . This would make amazing gift to any artist or just for fun . I was very very pleased with this 3d pen and cant wait to make more 3d pictures with it . Shipping was fast and packaged well.
