when I got this package in the mail i honestly did a little dance. I couldn't wait to mess with it. It really is a simple system. I mean you stick it in and hit calculate and you know whether or not you need to cook your food for just a little longer or it's good. This is a good thermometer that is almost instant read. You can lock in the reading too which is nice. The red is a beautiful color choice. The screen is a great size. The tip is easy to clean and the handle does not get burning hot when in use. I absolutely love this product. It makes grilling so much more convenient. I have read stories about meat becoming horribly dry after being poked and prodded by large, metal probes.
The fold-down metal probe is only 1.5mm so more of your juices stay within the meat where it belongs. But not with the EatSmart Precision Elite Thermocouple Food Thermometer . I also like that the EatSmart Precision Elite Thermocouple Food Thermometer comes in its own little case and fold up for easy storage. When stored properly in its case I don't have to hunt through my draws trying to find all the pieces. This thermometer is accurate when used indoors and outdoors as we do a great deal of grilling and sometimes it is difficult to gauge where your protein is in the cooking process.
It's easy to read numbers leave no room for mistakes, especially with the back light. No more trying to see the little hand in the evening when the sun is halfway down. I was impressed right away that it came with a little case! I honestly was a little shocked that it had it's own carrying case plus it comes with batteries. The EatSmart Precision Elite Thermocouple Food Thermometer has been wonderful. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who regularly cooks meat and needs to know the temperature.
